FAQS
Emotional intelligence (EQ) refers to the ability to understand, manage, and express one's own emotions well, as well as recognize and respond appropriately to the emotions of others. EQ growth occurs by understanding paradigms and developing skills in four key areas:
Self-awareness: Recognizing and understanding your own emotions
Self-regulation: Managing and expressing your emotions in healthy ways that align with your desired outcomes
Social awareness: Perceiving and understanding the emotions of others
Relationship management: Using your emotional awareness to build and maintain positive relationships
Studies show that people with higher levels of emotional intelligence have:
- Higher stress resilience
- Better focus and productivity
- Enhanced communication skills
- Greater creativity and problem solving
- Leadership agility and decisions making
- Improved sense of well-being and flourishing
Emotional intelligence, like any skill set, can be developed through training. Some people innately have greater emotional ability, but everyone can grow their emotional intelligence. It takes proper guidance and practice, but over time, you will notice a difference in how you understand yourself and your relationships.
